The Ledger Project Launches to Champion a Financial System that Works for Main Street America
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, The Ledger Project was launched, creating a new voice built to promote the essential role financial services play in driving American economic growth, supporting affordability, and protecting consumers. The Ledger Project will provide the context and clarity to help advance sensible policies that protect American consumers, support economic growth, promote affordability, and strengthen Main Street.
"Main Street is the heart of the American economy, and communities rely on a financial system that is resilient, trusted, and fair," said Mattie Duppler, spokesperson for The Ledger Project. "The Ledger Project exists to cut through the noise and educate on policies that help safeguard consumers, protect small businesses, and strengthen local economies."
Decisions made in Washington on financial regulation affect households and companies across America, impacting everything from how easily small businesses can access credit and how families buy homes to how consumers are protected from fraud and financial abuse. United for a Strong Economy launched The Ledger Project to ensure debates in D.C. are grounded in evidence and result in sound policies that support and protect Americans and their wallets.
